Burning in Paradise

The “Burning in Paradise” capsule draws inspiration from the visual culture of ’90s and early 2000s surf brands, a meeting point between the aesthetic of Face.hide and the background of Genesio Ludovisi.

The visual language of the collection echoes the posters and surf magazine ads Genesio had hanging on his bedroom walls as a kid, when he used to daydream about riding perfect waves.

The name captures that same feeling of freedom, like a perfect wave under the sun: a small paradise where the energy burns and everything feels possible.

The result is an eyewear featuring a black frame with laser-engraved flames along the sides of the Zeiss shield lens, reflecting Face.hide’s fashion-driven vision of eyewear. The inner side of the frame comes in a glossy teal finish, a color that represents Genesio and his personal imprint on the collaboration.

Teal was the color of his very first bodyboard, the one that carried the dreams of surfing perfect waves at Pipeline in Hawaii.
